Report: Missing Teacher's Van Found in Hunter Park

There has been a development in the search for missing Douglas County teacher Larry Bolen, according to a media report.

WXIA-TV reported Friday that the Alexander High School teacher’s minivan was found in Hunter Memorial Park in Douglasville, but Bolen was not found.
A sheriff’s office spokesman told the TV station there were no signs of foul play and that investigators believe the 1993 Oldsmobile Silhouette had been parked there since the day he was discovered missing.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office shared on Facebook that cadaver dogs were used in the search and Bolen was still missing.
The 83-acre park is located on Gurley Road.

Bolen has been missing since May 8, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, which issued a missing person alert Wednesday.
Bolen, 62, was ready to retire at the end of the current school year, according to reports.
Authorities said it was unusual for the teacher to be gone for so many days without contacting family and friends.
The sheriff’s office said Bolen is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He was last seen at his home in Douglasville.
