Restaurants Give Back to the Community

Douglasville LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants have donated $3,000 to the Douglas County Boys and Girls Club.

Eating out has helped bring funding to the Douglas County Boys and Girls Club. Three Douglasville restaurants–the Douglasville LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants–have donated $3,000 to the organization.

The donations were part of the Darden Restaurants Community Grants program, which makes it possible for Darden restaurants across the country to award a $1,000 grant to the local community organization of their choice.

Steven Penn, the managing partner of the LongHorn Steakhouse in Douglasville, presented his restaurant's $1,000 donation during a lunch it hosted for Doris Isaacs, chair of the Douglas County Boys and Girls Club board of directors; Mike Stephens, board member and senior vice president of the Douglasville Metro Bank; Steve Horn, executive director of the club, and teen leaders from the Boys and Girls Club.
