A reward is being offered in the <a href="https://patch.com/georgia/douglasville/pedestrian-killed-hit-and-run-accident-lithia-springs#.U-EMHoBdWDo">fatal hit-and-run</a> that killed a pedestrian Saturday morning in Lithia Springs.The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding the driver responsible for striking and killing Robert Stoskopf, 67, before 8 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2. Stoskopf was found lying beside Thornton Road on the northbound side of the road behind a guard rail, the sheriff's office said. It's an area near the intersection of Thornton Road and Waterford Club Drive.A $1,000 reward is being offered for the arrest of the person or persons responsible.The sheriff's office and Georgia State Patrol are looking for a vehicle that has had recent front-end or right-front-end damage.If you were in the area between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Aug. 2 call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Tip Line at 678-486-1253 or contact Investigator Josh Miller at 678-486-1252.
