Rhythm and Blues Highlight Hydrangea Festival
Country Music Artists Vanessa Leigh Bransan and Mike Brookshire are scheduled to Appear at Douglas County's 6th Annual Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival
The Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival is pleased to announce the inaugural “Rhythm and Blooms Concert” as part of the 6th annual Festival on Saturday, June 1. The concert will be headlined by Douglas County musician Mike Brookshire and rising country music singer Vanessa Leigh Bransan. The concert will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening in front of the steps of the Douglas County Courthouse in accompaniment to the Standard Flower Show and Artists’ and Craftsmen’s Market going on at the same time.
Mike Brookshire is a man of amazing vocal, songwriting and performing talent who has performed with Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Montgomery Gentry, Brooks and Dunn, Reba McIntire and many more country music artists, including appearances at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Vanessa Leigh Bransan is a rising country music artist who has performed since the age of 7 and who will be releasing her first Freshman EP “Moon Shine” on June 3. It features songs with sweet summer front porch melodies, subtle vocal harmonies, tender steel guitar and fiddle that reach back into old country lyrical styles with a new soulful Americana fell.

The outdoor concert has free admission and open to the Public. The Public is advised to bring their own seating.
