Winter is just around the corner. Here's what you need to know for snow day decisions from Douglas County Schools.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA- It’s that time of year to dust off the winter coats and make sure those snow boots still fit the kids. It’s also time to review the Douglas County School System’s school closing policy.
When schools are closed, area radio and television stations will be contacted, as well as local Comcast Cable Channel DCTV23 and CITI TV Channel 25.

If schools will be closed or delayed, the decision is expected to be announced no later than 6:30 a.m.
Parents are asked to look out for the public announcements, and avoid calling school system telephone numbers so that lines remain open for emergencies.

Make-up days could be fashioned from any designated Holiday, Holiday Period, or Teacher Day, according to the school system.
