Skate Park Robbery Suspects Quickly Arrested

DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- Two suspects were apprehended after allegedly stealing a phone from a boy riding his bike with friends at the Deer Lick Skate Park on Saturday, according to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Six young men were riding their bikes at the park when two young men began talking with them. One of the men told the victim that he wanted to buy a four-wheeler that the boys had been talking about.

When the boy handed the suspect his phone, the two men fled the scene.

Deputies patrolling the area located the two male subjects that fit the description.

While searching the suspects, deputies found one of the suspects had a black handgun. The other suspect showed police where they had hidden the phone.

Both subjects were arrested without incident and the victim’s property was returned.
