State of the City: Douglasville Mayor Outlines Successes, Future Challenges
Harvey Persons: "I am more determined than ever to maintain a clear vision for quality growth and development and to have a safe community."

Douglasville Mayor Harvey Persons gave his third State of the City address Thursday night at the Douglasville Downtown Confernence Center.
The mayor covered topics including the Service Delivery Strategy Agreement with the county, transportation, economic development, the ice and storm of January 2014, public safety, employee classification and compensation, among others.

“We are working together to help make Douglasville one of the premier places in America to live, work, play, raise a family and “Be ALL we can BE.” In my opinion, Douglasville is already a great and remarkable place to live, and we are continuing our work to make it even better,” Person said, according to the transcript. “As I move into the final year of my first four-year term as Mayor of this great city, I am more determined than ever to maintain a clear vision for quality growth and development and to have a safe community.”
