This study will take nine months to a year to complete, and will include a comprehensive review of services the Multi-Modal Division already offers, such as the Rideshare commuter vanpool program and GRTA Xpress bus service, as well as a vetting of potential services such as shuttle buses or circulator bus or van routes within the boundaries of Douglas County.

The Multi-Modal Division has told the consultant conducting the study to develop a plan which not only includes “aspirations” Douglas County might undertake 15 to 20 years from now, but also services that can be implemented quickly over the next three to five years or sooner, based on the amount of Federal funding Douglas County is anticipating.
