Weather Update: How Much Snow Will Fall on Douglasville, and When?

The Douglasville area could get up to 3 inches of snow in Wednesday’s winter storm, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

The weather service forecasts Douglasville will get 1 to 3 inches of snow, but the county is right on the line where heavier snow is expected to the north. (see attached forecast map above). Some places in the county could get more.
Rain and snow will begin after 1 p.m. Wednesday, the weather service said, dropping less than an inch before nightfall. Another 1-3 inches could fall overnight.

Detailed forecast for Douglasville from the National Weather Service:
Wednesday: Rain and snow, mainly after 1pm. High near 37. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Wednesday night: Rain and snow before 1am, then a chance of snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Patchy fog. Low around 31. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Thursday: Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
