Saturday, October 11, 2014 - 8:00 AM EDT Settles Bridge Park, Johnson Road, Suwanee, GA,
Come run through a great park with a challenging course that exemplifies the life of a single parent! Single parents face overwhelming barriers to overcome poverty and become self-sufficient. With the economy being what it is, a college education is crucial and almost required for the low-income single parent family to succeed. This course will be both downhill and uphill, pavement and trail, and one that will be sure to challenge you just as these parents are challenged! It’s a run / walk event so come out whether it’s your first 5K or you are trying to set that PR!
We will have a face painter and will paint superhero faces for all registered kids. Any child 12 and under who raises at least $25 will receive a superhero cape.
Proceeds from this event will benefit H.O.P.E, Inc. (Helping Other People be Empowered) which is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving single parents and their families working to obtain a college degree and break the cycle of poverty.
