Three standouts from Texas club Solar SC are among the invitees as coach Katie Schoepfer begins a new World Cup qualifying cycle.

• Citizen's Choice Winner: Cards Over Clicks Sweeps Four Categories (thecitizen.com) — Cards Over Clicks, a fast-growing local nonprofit, just swept four Citizen’s Choice Awards for its work giving kids educational trading card packs instead of more screen time. Founder Denny Loewer now partners with groups including Mathnasium in Fayetteville, where students can earn free card packs, and he’s seeking more volunteers, teachers, and donors to expand the program’s reach.
