• Remaining documents must be signed before work begins on Audi ' s Peach County facility (wgxa.tv) — Audi’s proposed $4 billion plant just east of Fort Valley could bring about 4,500 jobs, with the city set to receive 5% of the project’s PILOT payments. Peach County leaders say work could start quickly once remaining agreements are signed, and they’re eyeing benefits for Fort Valley residents, housing, and Fort Valley State University students.
   

• Blue Bird Plans $300M School Bus Manufacturing Facility in Georgia (constructconnect.com) — A major expansion is headed right to Fort Valley, with Blue Bird planning a $300 million school bus factory at the former motorhome site on Wanderlodge Way and 375 new jobs over three years. Construction is targeted to start in early 2027, significantly growing the company’s existing Peach County operations and reinforcing the area as a hub for school bus manufacturing.
   

• Former Macon mayor questions diversity after Audi plant announcement (41nbc.com) — As plans for Audi’s Peach County plant move forward, a former Macon mayor is urging leaders to ensure local residents and historically Black institutions like Fort Valley State University share in new job and training opportunities. He’s also pressing for more visible racial diversity in how the project is promoted, while welcoming the investment in Middle Georgia.
