• Piggly Wiggly operator settles religious discrimination lawsuit for $65,000 (41nbc.com) — A Hazlehurst Piggly Wiggly will pay a former deli clerk $65,000 after she was fired following repeated requests to have Sundays off for religious observance. Under a two-year settlement with the EEOC, the store's operator must also update its religious accommodation policies, train managers, and report future accommodation requests and complaints, potentially improving workplace protections for Hazlehurst employees.
