• Rayonier Advanced Materials Begins Construction on Altamaha Green Energy Biomass Project (getfea.com) — Construction is underway on a 70 MW biomass cogeneration plant right next to Rayonier Advanced Materials' Jesup mill, promising new renewable power and process steam for the local facility by 2029. The project partners say it will boost sustainability, reliability, and long-term competitiveness for Jesup's manufacturing site while using forestry residues sourced from the surrounding region.
   

• Renewable energy projects: Albioma, Bondada Engineering, DTE Energy (greentechlead.com) — A major 70 MW biomass cogeneration plant is being built in Jesup, set to supply power to Georgia Power and steam to the local Rayonier Advanced Materials site by 2029. The $650 million project will use forestry residues from the region and has already secured substantial financing, signaling long-term industrial and energy investment tied directly to Jesup's economy.
