Man Bought $29K In Gift Cards Using Stolen Info: Police

The Johns Creek Police Department said the suspect used stolen credit cards to make the purchases.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — The Johns Creek Police Department is taking to social media to ask the public to help them track down a man accused of using stolen credit cards to buy gift cards at a home improvement store.

Between April 2-3, an unknown male entered multiple GameStop, Office Depot and Home Depot stores around metro Atlanta. According to the Johns Creek Police Department's Facebook page, the man used stolen credit cards to buy $29,000 worth of Home Depot gift cards.

The Police Department is appealing to its followers, who "all were so amazing in helping us catch" the last suspect it was looking for in reference to a purse snatching at Kroger. That suspect, identified as Jonathan David Hodges of Doraville, was arrested earlier this month.
