• Georgia Forestry warns of wildfire risk; burn ban issued (wrbl.com) — Pine Mountain residents are under a burn ban this weekend because Harris County is included in a Georgia Forestry Commission restriction prompted by drought, low humidity, and breezy winds that raise wildfire risk. The ban covers many West Georgia counties, while Alabama has also issued a statewide fire alert. Officials stress avoiding outdoor burning to prevent fast-spreading fires across the region.
