Now in its eighth year, Boxerstock features live music from both national and local artists in a variety of musical genres while raising funds and awareness for these noble, kind, and loving creatures.

The talent-packed musical lineup kicks off at noon and plays ‘til 6 p.m. This year’s roster is as powerful as it is eclectic, and includes rising local performers as well as nationally known acts. Boxerstock has built a reputation of attracting some of the best artists in the region!

Don’t worry, because the kids won’t be left out of the fun. The Kids’ Village is stocked with entertainment and activities for children, including human hamster balls (Water Walkers), face painting, and bouncy houses. Boxerstock 2015 also features a second performance stage for kid-friendly entertainment and music from some of Georgia’s finest up-and-coming young artists.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Boxerstock without the dogs! Canine highlights include two fenced dog parks, dog training tips and demonstrations, as well as dog costume and trick contests. Bring out your pooch in their best costume to win a prize! Microchipping for dogs with current vaccinations and proof of ownership will be available.

Other exciting events include a silent auction, agility and other canine performance demos, kids’ art contest, and more. The vendor’s market is filled with over sixty craftsmen and booths. Anything from a new collar or dog treats to crafts and lotions, there is sure to be something for everyone!

For those in the mood for yummy people treats, check out the food trucks for lunch or dinner! Atlanta food trucks Mix’d Up, Yoli’s, C’est Tout Bon 2 Eat, Brat So Stop and Olde Blind Dog will be serving delicious fare and filling tummies. And don’t forget to meet the adoptable pups! ABR volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about adopting, fostering, or volunteering. All healthy foster dogs will be present, happily greeting as only boxers can, and ready to meet their approved furever parents. Those interested in adopting a boxer are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.

This exciting day out benefits Atlanta Boxer Rescue, an Atlanta-based nonprofit whose mission is to help rescue abandoned, aging, and neglected dogs of the boxer breed. Boxerstock 2015 is presented by Paces Ferry Veterinary Clinic and Unleashed by Petco.
