Two Hospitalized After Waffle House Brawl

"She bucked on me so I fought back," one woman said of the 2:20 a.m. fight in the 24-hour diner in Gwinnett County.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA β€” At least six people were involved in a Waffle House brawl that sent two men through a glass window, then to the hospital, early Friday morning, police say.

At about 2:20 a.m. Friday, Gwinnett County Police were called to the Waffle House at 1825 Pleasant Hill Road.

Officers arrived to find people gathered in the parking lot around a man with a bleeding cut to his left arm.

As officers treated his wound, witnesses told them that at least six people were involved in a fight that had broken out in the all-night restaurant moments before.

One woman, Dominique Slaton, acknowledged having been in the fight, according to a police report.

She told police a woman she did not know got upset "due to (Slaton) laughing at her boyfriend for leaving."

"She bucked on me so I fought back," Slaton said, according to the incident report.

Slaton also told police that her boyfriend was cut in the fight and had been taken to a hospital.

WSB-TV was reporting Friday that the two men who were injured crashed through a window of the restaurant. The station had images of a completely broken window and shattered glass at the restaurant.

One of the two injured men reportedly was having surgery Friday morning.

It was not immediately clear Friday morning what charges may be filed in the case.
