CRIME AWARENESS/COMMUNITY INFORMATION ALERT
Activity date: May 8, 2015 – May 10, 2015
Zone 1
Damage to Property – A fence at Kellum Farms off of Hwy 138 was reportedly damaged.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Penland Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Michael Etchison Spur. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Theft Report -A black, rod iron, door decoration was reportedly taken from a residence on Liberty Hill Church Rd. Door decoration was later found in a nearby field.
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Paddock Rd. in reference to juveniles damaging property. Incident occurred sometime over the past two weeks.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Waters Edge Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Arrest – David Sears was arrested at a residence on Adams Way for an outstanding warrant following a report that subject was involved in a dispute with his mother.
Accident – An accident occurred on private property at the Shell Station on Hwy 138. Accident handled by Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Burglary Report – A residence on Adams Way was reportedly entered, property damaged and pictures belonging to resident owner’s daughter were taken.
Zone 2
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the area of Alcovy Mountain and Walton railroad in reference to items reportedly missing and juveniles trespassing.
Accident – An accident occurred in the area of Hwy 11 and Family Farm & Garden. No injuries. Accident handled by Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Suspicious Vehicle – A vehicle was reportedly behind the locked gate in the area of Alcovy Mountain Rd. and Whitney Rd. Driver was located. Subject was working on the cell tower.
Zone 3
Other Law – Subject at a residence on Laboon Rd. reportedly gave his debit card to several subjects who made purchases without his permission.
Trespassing – A white male wearing a yellow t-shirt was reportedly seen on the tree farm property on Gene Bell Rd. Area checked. No contact.
Accident – An accident occurred at a residence on Pannell Rd. Georgia State Patrol handled the accident.
Identity Theft – Subject at a residence on Snows Mill Rd. received a phone call from his bank reporting suspicious spending on his account.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Bethany Church Rd. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Suspicious Vehicle – A vehicle reportedly almost ran another vehicle off the road in the area of Hwy 78 and Jim Daws Rd.
Zone 4
Arrest – Ryan Clark was arrested for Simple Battery at a residence on Gratis Rd.
Arrest – Stanford Neal was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the area of Summerset Ct. following a traffic stop.
Zone 5
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Oakmont Way. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Wedgewood Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Arrest – Christopher Dunham was arrested for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute at a residence on Robin Ln.
Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Fairwinds Dr. in reference to a speeding vehicle in the neighborhood. The vehicle is reported to be a silver, SUV. This occurs mainly in the afternoons.
Dispute – Subject was reportedly at a residence on Bullock Tr. refusing to leave. Subject received a Criminal Trespass warning not to return to residence.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Richmond Pl. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Discharging Firearms – Firearms reportedly discharged in area of Hwy 81. Several complaints received. Contact made with homeowner. Homeowner advised he would stop shooting.
Zone 6
Dispute – Two subjects at Crossroads Catfish Pond were refusing to pay.
Accident – An accident occurred in the area of Hwy 78 and the Peach State Auto Auction. No injuries. Accident handled by Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Vicious Animal – Two dogs reportedly killed a rabbit at a residence on Magnolia Dr. The dogs also became aggressive towards resident owner. Dogs were reported to be a white, pit bull and a black, mixed breed. Deputy made contact with dogs and they were pepper sprayed. Dogs ran off.
Suspicious Vehicle – A white, Chevrolet pickup believed to have been stolen was in the area of Bobway Trl. Vehicle was checked and did not return as a stolen vehicle.
Trespassing – Subjects reportedly found trespassing at the Quarry.
Zone 7
Accident – An accident occurred in the area of Walnut Ave. and Leone Ave. Georgia State Patrol handled the accident.
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Greenfield Ln. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Accident – An accident occurred in the area of Leone Ave. and Park St. No injuries occurred. Georgia State Patrol handled the accident.
Fraud – Subject at a residence on Thompson Mill Rd. reported a scam attempt by phone. Subject reportedly received a message from the IRS stating for him to call a certain number or he would be sued.
Arrest – James Beck was arrested in the area of H D Atha Rd and Sardis Church Rd. following a chase where vehicle crashed and he fled on foot. James Beck was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent, Possession of Schedule II drugs, Possession of Schedule IV drugs and several traffic violations.
Alarm- Walton County deputies responded to an alarm at a residence on Monroe Dr. Residence checked. Everything okay.
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 138 and Cannon Farm Rd. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. Two arrests made as a result of the safety check.
