Macon Transit Authority wants to eliminate North Napier/Zebulon Route

MTA without community input will be eliminating the North Napier/Zebulon Route

On March 29, 2026 the Macon Transit Authority (MTA) has released a public notice is considering eliminating the North Napier/Zebulon Bus Route.

This is due to their claims of lower ridership. However, residents, organizations, and stakeholders have 15 days from the public notice to request a public hearing or submit comments in writing to rebuke this.

Without a rebuttal, the MTA Board of Directors will have to approve the change and the route elimination will become effective at least 30 days after approval.

MTA claims that the area this route covers should be covered by Route 11 Log Cabin/North Napier Route.

People or organization of interest are able to ask for a public hearing by contacting Mark Strozier at (478) 621-7122.
