Bibb elections board approves early voting location for 2027 election (macon.com) — Macon-Bibb's elections board has approved a fourth early voting site, but it won't open until 2027 despite calls to help south Bibb residents sooner. For now, early voting will remain limited to Theron Ussery Park, Elaine Lucas Senior Center and the Macon Mall office, all north of Eisenhower Parkway, as officials cite timing concerns ahead of November's election. 
2. UPDATE: Coroner identifies man killed in pedestrian hit-and-run on Forsyth Road in Macon (41nbc.com) — Authorities have identified 30-year-old Clint Parrish as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run early Saturday on Forsyth Road in Macon, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. The case marks the county's 14th pedestrian death this year, and investigators are asking anyone with information about the driver who left the scene to contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
3. Macon HS football scoreboard: Stratford, Tattnall, Mount de Sales all win again (macon.com) — Macon high school football kicked off its first full weekend with Stratford, Tattnall and Mount de Sales all improving to 2-0, despite lightning delays across the city. The Bibb County Gridiron Classic also opened, highlighted by Central snapping a nearly three-year losing streak against Greenville. Here's how every Macon-area team on the scoreboard fared.
4. Learn about 'trinket trading,' the collectible swap at a Macon coffee shop (macon.com) — A Macon-made "Trinket Trading Box" at Village Coffee and Hello Boba invites you to swap small treasures instead of shop, right in Ingleside Village and downtown Macon. Creator and Macon native Brisa Gamboa says the free boxes have quickly become a community-driven way for locals and visitors to connect through tiny collectibles. She's already eyeing a third box in North Macon.
