Murder Suspect Attacks Inmate, Chews Into Own Arm

A Roswell man accused of gunning down an attorney during the Monday morning rush hour period in Midtown Atlanta has been transported to Grady Memorial Hospital after a fight at the Fulton County Jail.

Raylon Browning attacked another inmate at the jail for "no apparent reason," one sheriff's deputy wrote, and had to be tasered by another deputy. Browning was seen "biting his left arm and spitting blood out of his mouth" by another deputy.

Wave after wave of thunderstorms continued to pummel metro Atlanta Wednesday afternoon, with at least one large tornado ripping through south Georgia and the possibility for more looming. The National Weather Service declared flash flood warnings for parts of metro Atlanta and a flood warning for Big Creek near Alpharetta, affecting Forsyth and Fulton counties. The forecast called for scattered to numerous severe thunderstorms expected to continue into the night.
