• Obituary and funeral home: Karen Leigh Casper, 64, of Monroe (monroelocal.org) — Monroe native Karen Leigh Casper, a Walton County and UGA graduate who built a long career in wireless communications, has passed away at 64. Family and friends can honor her at a graveside service Friday, September 18, at Campton Church Cemetery in Walton County, with memorial donations suggested to St. Jude's or Project Chimps.
