Marriott Receives Failing Grade from Health Inspectors

Citing several food storage and holding violations, the Gwinnett County health department gave the Marriott Atlanta Norcross a failing score in a food service inspection earlier this week.

The Peachtree Corners hotel, located at 475 Technology Parkway, drew a 57 on Wednesday, Jan. 21, according to health department data. A failing score is anything under 70.

The facility serves cold-smoked salmon at the breakfast buffet; the food at the breakfast buffet are not on the menus. No parasite destruction documentation provided. Raw sausage, raw shell eggs stored above ready-to-eat foods (cut produce, cooked meats) in the upright cooler. Missing consumer advisory (asterisks, reminder statement, disclosure statement) for the cold-smoked salmon which is offered at the breakfast buffet. Soiled wiping cloths stored on the prep table. Old date mark stickers/sticker residue left on food containers.
