• Obituaries for October 1, 2026; Andy Anderson, Don Baughman, Maxine Bryant, John Sloope, Nathaniel Townsend (pickensprogress.com) — Among several regional obituaries, one honors Andy "Pop" Anderson, whose daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Brandon Hathaway live in Peachtree Corners, tying his legacy directly to our community. Services for him and other remembered residents are scheduled in early October across north Georgia, with families inviting friends to attend, share memories, and, in some cases, donate to local churches and cemetery funds in lieu of flowers.
