The most dramatic Astrological events of the month are the second-to-last Uranus/Pluto square on December 14 (Google: Uranus Square Pluto), and Saturn’s move into Sagittarius on December 23. These are days wherein many adjustments and changes are being wrought in the world of men. In the resulting confusion, individuals are appreciating the necessity for the uniting of their forces and for cooperation in their efforts. And the need for group work is more apparent than ever before. These are days therefore, wherein quietness and confidence must be your strength, and wherein the only safeguard lies in a close searching of all underlying motives. These aspects rattle our sense of reality and the effects of such a significant planetary pattern will be with us for many years to come. Revolutionary times can burden us with insecurity if we resist change. But, they empower and liberate us when we initiate it. Determining where and how to break patterns is the concern as feeling repressed is common. Yet the repression is a signal to commit to a process of building something new in our lives.

December will also bring in some joyful energy and ideas, as well as an opportunity to take fresh approaches to old problems. Take the lead in initiating new projects, forming new relationship, and letting others know that you will be there for them. Jupiter’s retrograde shift on December 8th could dampen your confidence but will allow you to find creative inspiration within. Venus’s entry into orderly Capricorn on December 10th counters our outgoing energy with respectful behavior and social restraint. Each month the New Moon offers us a fresh opportunity to take charge of our lives by using the magic present in the atmosphere to manifest our dreams.

On each New Moon a window of opportunity opens that we can use by writing down a list of wishes of what we want to come true in our lives. This month’s Full Moon occurs on the 6th at 14°18’ Gemini at 7:27am. Allow yourself to shift gears according to your moods as consistency may elude you. The light of the Full Moon allows you to see the contrast between your own needs and those of others. Kindness comes easily as you see the bright side of almost any situation and the best in almost every person. The Winter Solstice occurs on the 21st as the Sun enters Capricorn.
