Fulton County Honors Chattahoochee Nature Center
The Roswell-based facility recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

ROSWELL, GA -- Fulton County District 1 Commissioner Liz Hausmann recently presented a proclamation to the Chattahoochee Nature Center to commemorate the facility's 40th anniversary.
Hausmann, who also serves as the commission's vice chair, made the presentation during an evening celebration on Thursday, June 23.
The Chattahoochee Nature Center is considered as one of Georgia’s premiere natural science centers. Over 40,000 students per year can learn about the community’s natural resources.

The Roswell-based center provides on-site, hands-on enrichment programs for students, which include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) to inspire schoolchildren to pursue careers in environmental science.
The institution features 127 acres of forests and wetlands, which include a 3,000 square foot river boardwalk with daily programming, workshops, festivals and activities that include guided hikes, "creature features," canoe trips and wildlife walks.
