A Roswell child battling an aggressive form of cancer had the chance to mingle with members of a famous team of athletes known for playing the sport of basketball in a fun, family-friendly environment.

Jimmy Carter Makes Huge Announcement in Cancer Fight

After announcing in December that he was cancer free, former President Jimmy Carter revealed Sunday that he no longer needs to be treated for the disease. Like most of his announcements, Carter dropped the news at his Sunday school class in Plains, Ga.

Carter, 91, was diagnosed with cancer in August 2015 after having surgery to remove a lesion on his liver. After having the surgery, Carter announced that the cancer had spread to other parts of his body. Doctors had found melanoma lesions on his brain. >>> Read more.
