Meet Carol, a Lovely, Leisurely, Senior Cat!

Hi, my name is Carol! I’ve been patiently waiting a very long time for a loving family to adopt me and give me the home I’ve always dreamed of. But I keep getting overlooked, usually because I’m napping when visitors come in. Sadly, I’ve spent most of my life here at the shelter, but I haven’t given up hope of finding my forever home.

I’m a big, beautiful, gray and white tabby girl who loves nothing better than a good nap, in a cozy bed, near a sunny window. I’m generally a quiet, easy going sort of girl, but sometimes I like to pretend I’m a feisty tiger just to figure out whether you can see beyond my antics. I recognize “cat people” and will reward you with contented purring if you speak softly to me and stroke my lovely coat. My two favorite activities are lounging and napping, although eating comes in a close second. Unlike those rambunctious kittens you’ve seen, I will not go tearing through the house with the energy of a youngster, and I won’t require the constant attention and playtime of a kitten either. So if you are looking for a low maintenance companion like me, come by the Furkids shelter and let’s see if we’re a good match. I’ll be napping in Room 6.

I’m considered a senior cat at eight years old, although in human years that only makes me 48! That’s okay, because November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month, and cats and dogs 8+ years old have $0 adoption fees!
