Meet Scrappy, an Affectionate Senior Cat!

Hi, my name is Scrappy! But don’t let my name fool you, I’m actually a sweet, loving boy! Years ago, I was rescued along with my litter mates from an apartment complex. Sadly, I’ve spent my entire life at the shelter waiting for some kind person to come along and give me a real home of my own.

I’m a handsome, affectionate, sociable boy who absolutely adores the company of other cats, so I would be happiest in a home with other affectionate kitties like me. I’m usually one of the first cats to greet visitors in my room at the shelter, and I love it when volunteers dote on me and bring me yummy treats. I get along great with my kitty roommates, and you will often find me cuddled up napping with a few other buddies in a big cat bed. I’ve recently spent a couple of months in a foster home getting some extra pampering, attention, and care. I wish I could stay, but my foster mom has too many cats at home already.

I’m a senior cat (about 10 years old) with special needs, which just means that I require a little bit of extra care. I have IBD, so I do best on a primarily wet food diet and highly digestible dry food. I also have stomatitis (inflammation of oral tissues) and have had all of my teeth extracted, which has helped me feel better and eat without pain. I guess we all have something to deal with as we get older, so please don’t let this deter you. My condition is really quite manageable and no big deal at all.
