New Children's Christmas Book Sure to Become an Instant Classic!

Local Author Kay Hall to sign The Little Blind Sheperd in East Cobb on Dec. 13, 2014.

The Little Blind Shepherd, a newly penned Christmas Story by author Kay Hall, is a heartwarming new Christmas classic that is certain to be cherished by all for years to come. Written in free verse form and beautifully illustrated by Michele Philips, the book is suitable for ages 2 to 102.

Little Josh is blind, and his doting mother has finally agreed that, with his brothers guidance, he can join them one evening to tend the sheep. The starry night brings a visit from an angel, sharing the news of Christ the Savior’s birth. The boys follow a bright star to the east to find the manger. Join Little Josh and his brothers as they travel to Bethlehem and are given the greatest gift ever imagined.

Sweet Spirit – Parable Christian Store will carry the book and has invited author Kay Hall to read and sign copies of The Little Blind Sheperdon December 13, 2014, from 2p.m. until 5 p.m. The store is located at 1205 Johnson Ferry Rd., Marietta, Ga. 30038. Light refreshments will be served.

Kay Houston Hall is a member of the Atlanta Writers Club. She is passionate about literacy and is available to speak to book clubs and civic organizations. Mrs. Hall is an actress and an award-winning composer. She was received first place in the National Music Composition Award for The American Way. An accomplished pianist, she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Music Degree from Georgia State University.

Illustrator Michele Philipsstudied Fine Art at Berry College and at FSU, with a concentration in Illustration. After working in-house as designer/illustrator and senior artist for corporate groups in the Atlanta area for over 10 years, Michele is now very happy to be a full-time freelance professional Illustrator. She specializes in creating dynamic and charming illustrations for children’s books and editorial pieces and more. Michele works and lives in Decatur, GA, with her family and their menagerie of bunnies and birds.
