The city walks you through every step bond and capital projects take—from idea and voter approval to design, construction, and opening—and offers an online dashboard so you can track other Roswell projects in your neighborhood.
   

2. Free smoke alarms installed in 34 Roswell homes Saturday (thegeorgiasun.com) — Roswell firefighters and volunteers just installed 101 free smoke alarms in 34 Liberty Square homes, focusing on older houses where detectors may have expired. If your Roswell home still needs an alarm, you can request a free installation through the American Red Cross and follow the city's tips on testing alarms, placing them correctly, and practicing a family fire escape plan.
   

3. Roswell City Council considers 20% property tax hike to fund city projects (fox5atlanta.com) — Roswell officials are weighing a nearly 20 percent property tax increase, raising the millage rate to 5.9 to fund road work, equipment, and other city projects. Dozens of residents packed City Hall to argue the hike could price families out and urged councilmembers to reject it ahead of next Monday's crucial vote.
   

4. 10 Georgia Farmers Markets Packed With Homemade Foods And Local Crowds (takingthekids.com) — Roswell's Sweet Apple Farmers & Artisans Market offers a weekly, year-round Thursday escape with local produce, meats, seafood, baked goods, and kid-friendly activities at 320 Hardscrabble Road. The guide also spotlights nine other Georgia farmers markets, but Roswell readers can especially enjoy Sweet Apple's midweek vibe, shorter lines, and chance to chat with vendors close to home.
   

5. National group honors Roswell for outreach, events (appenmedia.com) — Roswell just picked up two national Savvy Awards for its community engagement, one for the Roswell Roots Black History Month celebration and another for its America250 event. City staff say the recognition highlights creative, cross-department work to better connect with residents and will help other communities learn from Roswell's outreach ideas.
