The Roswell Police Department said the probe into circumstances surrounding the discovery of Bobbi Kristina Brown unresponsive in a bathtub remains an active investigation.

Spokesperson Lisa Holland is also disputing reports that the case was reclassified into a criminal investigation.

“The incident has always been under criminal investigation and has not been reclassified as a criminal investigation,” Holland stated.

While the department’s Criminal Investigation Division is reviewing the case, Holland said the investigation may or may not result in criminal charges for those involved.

The agency’s statement comes on the heels of reports that detectives are raising questions about what appears to be injuries to Brown’s face, specifically around her mouth, according to WSB-TV.

A prayer vigil was held on Monday in Riverdale in support of Brown, who remains in a medically induced coma since she was rushed to North Fulton Hospital the morning of Jan. 31 after she was found unresponsive at her home on Riverbend Manor.

Police and fire crews took over life-saving measures once they arrived onto the scene, and Brown was transported to the Roswell hospital for treatment. Last week, Brown was moved from North Fulton Hospital to Emory Hospital where she remains surrounded by family and friends.
