Brother Charged With Killing Roswell Teen

The body of Kobe Williams, 17, was found Feb. 7 behind a building at the Nesbit Ferry Crossing Apartments.

ROSWELL, GA -- Roswell police detectives have charged two men in connection to the murder of a 17-year-old teenager who was found dead behind an apartment building.

Jahmal Christopher Samual, 19, and Jordan Chappell Williams, 20, are each charged with murder, participation in criminal street gang activity, theft by receiving stolen property and unlawful to communicate any threat of injury/damage to deter from assisting criminal street gang member, Roswell police said Tuesday.

Jordan Williams is the older brother of Kobe Williams, who police found dead around 1:30 a.m. Feb. 7 behind Building 15 at Nesbit Ferry Crossing Apartments on Saratoga Drive.

Police made the grim discovery after responding to a 911 call reporting multiple gun shots, Roswell police spokesperson Lisa Holland previously told Patch.

The teen, later identified as Kobe Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound, Holland said.

Holland added the teen lived in an apartment within the development. Susan Hale, spokeswoman with Fulton County Schools, also told Patch that Williams was a former student at Centennial High School.

Before the date of the fatal shooting, Samual and Jordan Williams "conspired to kill another individual who had allegedly robbed a mutual acquaintance," Holland said.

Detectives contend that Samual shot and killed Kobe Williams, "mistakenly believing him to be the individual they both had been hunting."

Additionally, Jordan Williams was at the location when the shots were fired, and the gun used to kill Kobe Williams was found after the shooting in his brother's possession, police say.

The investigation remains active. Return to Patch for updates.
