Van Wreck Kills Three Members of Heavy Metal Bands
Victims included a Mableton man. Eight other injured when van drove off an embankment and hit a tree in Jackson County.

A Mableton man is among the three people who were killed in a Monday morning traffic accident involving a passenger van in Jackson County.
Paul J. Treusdell, 29, was killed when the van left the roadway, drove down an embankment, and slammed into a tree just off of Interstate 85 south near Exit 147 at approximately 7 a.m., WSB-TV reports. Nicholas R. Crisostomo of Virginia and Ian McKinney of Tennessee were also killed in the accident. The Georgia State Patrol told 11 Alive News that the three men were ejected from the passenger van.

Eight other people received injuries in the van wreck; 11 Alive News reports that two of the eight people are still in critical condition.
The victims were all members of two heavy metal bands, Atlanta-based “Khaotika,” and Alabama-based “Wormreich,” according to the AJC.

According to WSB-TV, the passengers in the van belonged to heavy metal groups Wormreich and Khaotika, who were traveling together to play a show in Atlanta on Monday night.
The driver of the van, 27-year-old Sergio J. Quesada of Athens, was uninjured in the accident but will likely face charges, troopers told WSB-TV.
