Update: Vehicle Found in 'Takeover Style' Robbery at Cumberland Mall Diamond Store
Police are still looking for five suspects who robbed Diamond Solutions on Thursday.
SMYRNA, GA -- Police have found the stolen vehicle that five men used after they robbed Diamond Solutions in Cumberland Mall on Thursday.
The vehicle was found on Martin Luther King Drive in Atlanta on Friday, reports the AJC. The white Mitsubishi had been reported stolen from Clayton County. It is being transported to the Cobb County police department for processing.
The men were all wearing dark hooded sweatshirts when they entered the store and shattered the glass of a display case.
"The perpetrators removed several items of jewelry from the case and then fled on foot to the parking lot," according to a statement from Cobb police. They were seen leaving the area in a white 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor with an Alabama registration tag of 9083AM4.
One of the men was armed with a handgun. All five suspects are described as black men.
