Barking Out the Votes for Shelia Edwards for District 4 Commish
Thank You to all the Pet Parents (and non-Pet Parents) Who Voted for My Mom Shelia
Hello Cool Canines and other Family Pets of District 4,
It is me again, your Dog Friend, Einstein. I want to thank you and all the Pet Parents (and non-Pet Parents) who voted for my Mom, Shelia Edwards, for Cobb County Commissioner for District 4.
With your support, she received 7705 votes (24.84% of the votes) in a seven-person race. That is really something to “bark” about. She is leading in the vote count and headed into a RUNOFF Election that is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11th, 2020.

To help her win, I am continuing to lead the community to "Bark Out the Votes" for Shelia Edwards for District 4 Commissioner.
My Mom Shelia is a great pet parent and an even better candidate for Commissioner. She is the only candidate in this race that will make a real difference in our community. She has proven through her work in our community that she loves District 4 and wants the best for us.

Unlike others, my Mom Shelia can point to real concerns of the community that she has advocated for before members of the Board of Commissioners and at other community meetings.
Unlike others, my Mom Shelia has advocated for good economic development. She has constantly spoken before the Board about the failure to develop Magnolia Crossing, 50 acres of prime real estate in our backyards that have been ignored and gone undeveloped for five years. Smart development of this property will bring about great jobs, affordable housing, and positive economic development for our community. My Mom Shelia is championing this issue for us.
Unlike others, my Mom Shelia has rejected the suggestion that good economic development in our community is a Family Dollar located directly across the street from a Dollar Tree. For the record, there is nothing wrong with these stores as we shop there, but we do not need one on every corner nor directly across the street from each other. We want better and with my Mom Shelia, we will get it.
Earlier this year, my Mom Shelia went before the Board of Commissioners and advocated for the first African America woman to be named the next County Manager for Cobb. She also insisted that she receive the same equitable pay for her work. The Board listened to what my Mom Shelia had to say and voted to appoint Dr. Jackie McMorris as Cobb County Manager with a great salary to match. My Mom Shelia was proud to be part of this historic appointment for our community.
My Mom Shelia and I continue to take walks on the trails on Riverview Road, near the recently developed housing and businesses on the Chattahoochee River. As I shared with your before, it was my Mom Shelia’s work to fight and stop a waste transfer station from operating nearby. Her work allowed this economic development to occur in its place. Like me, she is a leader and she is willing to fight for what is right in our community.
These are just a few of the many examples of the work that my Mom Shelia has been doing to improve the quality of life for the people of District 4. She is constantly talking to pet parents about different needs of the community and how we can come together to make positive changes with real leadership in place, which is why she is running.
My Mom Shelia’s heart is huge, and her work history is extensive. Unlike others, she has championed issues for years that impact people and pets and she will continue her good work as our next Commissioner, with your help. I invite you to go to the Marietta Daily Journal or go to her website at electshelia.com to see the work that she has been doing in our community.
So in closing, please remind your Pet Parents (and non Pet Parents) that a vote for my Mom Shelia is a vote for a great future for District 4.
Tell them to vote for someone who cares about our community and loves pets, especially me.
Tell them to Vote Shelia Edwards for Commissioner of District 4 in the RUNOFF Election on or before August 11, 2020.
Best Regards,
Your Dog Friend Einstein
P.S.
As I said before, to tell the heart of a great candidate, look at the work that they have been doing in our community. If they have no record of service to our community, then that tells you all you need to know. BYE!
