Cobb Business Associations Let the Good Times (and Bowling Balls) Roll

Bowling for fun and looking to join a league.

Azaela Lanes or Brunswick Zone bowling alley on Austell Road had an open invitation for members of the local Cobb business associations to come and have a few frames of fun.

The lanes were opened from 7 to 9:30 the other night and members of the associations were invited to come learn about bowling and see if they had any interest in forming leagues.

Eight lanes were dedicated to the invitees and it looked like they were in for the fun and health derived from tossing a 12- to 15-pound ball down a very highly shined hardwood floor.

A couple of bowlers were pretty darn good and scored well into the 150 range. There were some that were not quite that experienced and managed to take the prize for lowest score (54). As a prize they got free tickets to enhance their sjkill level.

The event was a success according to Dennis Lockhart, the general manager who was assisted in the evening's duty by Assistant GM Andrew Busby and Jeri Breazeale who is a sales specialist at the Austell location.
