Doc Gross host Country Mixer

What do you get when you combine BBQ, homemade deserts, politicians, cold drinks, Blue Grass and Country music?

You get a fantastic afternoon and evening over at Doc Grosses place on Trail Road in West Cobb.

Folk came from every part of Cobb County. They were there from West Cobb, East Cobb, Downtown Marietta, Smyrna, Vinnings,Mableton, Austell, East Cobb and some other places too.

It was hot, the drinks were cold, the music was country and Bluegrass and everyone had a blast. Butch Thompson and Ben Noble and a team of ladies kept the food line going. Pat Head, Vic Reynolds, Larry Burke, Rebecca Keaton, Greg Poole, John Skelton and others were in attendance.

This was not the first time Doc and his friends have found a reason to have a get together and wont be the last. Cant think of a single person who did not have a fantastic time and no one, I mean NO ONE went home hungry. Deserts were another story and the Peach cobbler made with cresent roles, Mellow yellow and other goodies were just not to be passed up.
