UGA/COBB COUNTY COOPERATIVE EXTENSION will host a class on Gardening and Food Preservation on May 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This class is intended to provide tips on how to start a home garden from site selection, garden planning, soil testing to vegetable culture including common diseases and pests of the home garden. The second hour of the class will demonstrate food safety and preservation. We will have an overview of canning and canning equipment and other ways to preserve your summer bounty.
