How Sweet it is or rather How sweet they were.

How sweet were the Kennys Key Lime pies? They just don't get much better, in fact they are the absolute best and that's why they are called Kenny's Great Key Lime pies.

Now picture this if you can. One million Key lime pies, that's right ONE MILLION. That breaks down or rather slices down to Six milluion slices my friend. That alone should blow your mind but now consider this. That was the number of key lime pies sold at just one particular restaurant chain.  California Pizza Kitchens

Obviously a customer of Kenny's pies and very pleased with the way the product has sold in their stores. CPK was celebrating their own 25th anniversary and it just so happened that they were receiving the one millionth Key Lime Pie from Kenny's.

Kenny's Great Pies is  located right here in Cobb County and about half way between Smyrna and Mableton. They make them all on Highland Parkway and that location is probably about six miles from the apartment where the company started in what was Belmont Hills Shopping area. Kenny's employees come from all over Cobb County. Marietta, Smyrna, Mableton, Austell and even from East cobb. They enjoy the work and most have been on the team for years. Kenny's dad is still involved with the company and makes sure everything is just right.

I had the chance to be at the Lenox mall CPK store a couple weeks ago and witnessed the delivery of the One Millionth pie. The manager( Patrick Brandon)  the staff and special guest from  "The make a wish Foundation" and The BBA all joined in the celebration. Fabiola Charles and Aza Walker from " Make a Wish" were on hand as were members of the Buckhead Business Association.The "Make a Wish" group was not only treated to a wonderful meal of specialty Pizza and great Key lime Pie they also were the recipients of 25% of the sales from the store.

Catherine Anderson, national accounts manager from Kenny's was on hand and gave out anniversary T shirts, and a slew of other prizes to the staff and customers who were in the restaurant for the party.

Everybody was a winner for that meal and I was an even bigger winner because I enjoy Kenny's Pies and not just the "flagship Key Lime".  On that day I enjoyed specialty pizza (made to order),  great company, good drinks and of course that Key lime pie.

If you have never had a Kenny's Pie then go by the ofice and get one or maybe two. For that much why not try all the awesome flavors and then decide which is your personal favorite.
