Stop Olens

Section V of the Voting Rights Act, the landmark 1964 law passed in the wake of Jim Crow and voting laws aimed at limiting the ability of African-Americans to vote.

Access to the polls and right to vote in upcoming elections has been challenged by Sam Olens former Cobb Commissioner and now Attorney General.  He claims that the 1964 Voting Rights Act is an intrusion on Georgia Sovereignty.

Minorities, young prospective voters and the elderly can be prevented from voting strictly over political issues not related to freedom and equality guaranteed all Americans. This effort to turn back time should be stopped.
