Your Local KROGER wants to help our troops
Kroger plans to Kick some Bucks. Kroger is asking customers to round up your ticket and make the contribution to the USO. Every peeny helps and it all goes to the USO to help.
KROGER IS PARTICIPATING IN THE USO ROUND-UP CAMPAIGN.
Please go to your favorite Kroger Store and ask if you can help.
Greetings, many of us might remember a letter that started off like that. It was from the Draft Board and they invited us to spend at least two years on some wonderful world cruises, airline trips or getting to visit exotic places on foot.

I have just returned home from another wonderful day serving as a host for the USO at Atlanta Airport. Greeting the men and women who were coming home for leave or returning to their duty stations in Kuwait and/or Afghanistan. I have attached some fotos so you can see what USO does every single day to pick up the spirits or our young men and women who so galantly serve to protect us.
While I was there (along with seven other Lockheed Martin Retirees)Β I experienced theΒ joy and satisfaction that isΒ shown by troops who visited the facility. We were also advised that the KROGER Corp right here in Georgia is launching a drive to collect funds so the USO can continue to provide for our Troops.

Look out and go in to your local Kroger store over the next week or so. They have all begun a program where you can ROUNDΒ UP your purchase and contribute to the USO. A few pennies here a couple of dimes there and it all adds up and Paul Lucia ( you've seen him on TV) assures us that Kroger managers and employees are all comitted to make this a success. Β
The USO is an organization that is there to be there when our service men and women need help of any kind. They provide a friendly location with food, drinks,wi/fis and other things our men and women in uniform all find helpful as they travel to and from the combat zones around the world.
Beginning June 24th throughΒ July 7th, all Kroger stores throughout the Atlanta Division (includes all stores in GA, TN, SC, and AL) will start encouraging customers to "Round Up" (round up to the nearest dollar on theirΒ receipt ofΒ purchases) to assist our military heroes and their families.
USO is asking their USO volunteers, their families, and friends to stop by a Kroger and "thank" and encourage the Kroger employees for participating in this promotion.Β And, of course if you have any grocery shopping we hope you will do so at a Kroger and "Round It Up". On behalf of the many military personnel and military families USO assists, THANK YOU.
