Catch Midnight Harry Potter Showings in Austell or Friday at a Drive-In

The biggest movie of the summer starts at midnight. Some shows are already sold out in Austell.

It is bound to be the largest movie event of the summer, and quite possibly, of all time if you’re judging by how much it will bring in at the box office.

We’re talking about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two, the last in the successful series. Better get your ticket soon in Austell because two of the first showings are already sold out.

South Cobb Patch checked in with at around 3:15 p.m. and the midnight and 12:15 a.m. 2-D showings of the movie were sold out.

However, only about half the tickets for the 12:01 a.m. 3-D showing have been sold. There are also plenty of tickets left for the 12:15 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. 3-D showings, as well as for the 12:30 a.m. 2-D showing.

For those who buy tickets, the theatre does have about three boxes of special Harry Potter-esque glasses available on a first-come, first-served basis.

One of the best things in the summer is piling in the car with the family or with friends and going to see a drive-in. The closest drive-in is , but you’ll have to wait until Friday night to see the last Harry Potter installment there.

They are showing the movie at 9:30 p.m. on Friday and at 1:55 a.m. on Saturday.

Tickets are $7 per adult and $1 per child, 9 and under. Go see one movie and catch the other for free.
