Attention South Cobb Parents and Educators. The Cobb Chamber of Commerce has announced that they are taking applications for the Cobb Youth Leadership program. If you have an outstanding rising high school junior in your family or in your school, please encourage them to apply.
While building networks with students from schools across Cobb County, your student will be able to develop leadership skills through interactive participation. Students selected for the program will meet monthly with local and regional leaders while discussing topics such as social services, public safety, politics, health, arts, history and the military. Participation in extracurricular programs and activities, such as this, are always beneficial for students.
This program is for rising high school juniors who attend public or private high schools, as well as those being home schooled. The CYL Steering Committee will review all applications and select approximately 55 students to participate. Friday, April 24 is the deadline for submitting an application.
