Congratulations to South Cobb High Schools

Congratulations are in order for our South Cobb High Schools, Educators, and Students- as well as others around Cobb County - for being recognized by U.S. News and World Report as some of the best in the country in its newly released Best High Schools List.

The publication ranks 18,000 public high schools around the country. Rankings are compiled based on graduation rates, college readiness, math and reading scores and the academic performance of minority or disadvantaged students. Walton High School was the highest-ranked Cobb County school on the list - ranked No. 5 in Georgia and 187th nationally.

*Pope: 24th in Georgia; 702 nationally

*Harrison: 30th in Georgia; 984 nationally

*Hillgrove: 33rd in Georgia; 1,119 nationally

*Allatoona: 40th in Georgia; 1,704 nationally

*Kennesaw Mountain: 47th in Georgia; 1,960 nationally

*Wheeler: 56th in Georgia; 2,548 nationally

*Sprayberry: 70th in Georgia; 3,042 nationally

*North Cobb: 75th in Georgia; 3,194 nationally

*Campbell: 98th in Georgia; 4,384 nationally

*McEachern: 112th in Georgia; 5,085 nationally

*Kell: 121st in Georgia; 5,443 nationally

*Marietta: 142nd in Georgia; 6,496 nationally

*South Cobb: 167th in Georgia; 7,321 nationally

*Pebblebrook: 234th in Georgia; 10,259 nationally

*Osborne: 290th in Georgia; 12,380 nationally
