Epic Trunk-or-Treat Event in South Cobb Community

Halloween Trunk-or-Treat HUGE Success

The Riverside EpiCenter with the supervision of Pastor Christopher Boyd and the Word of Faith Church family hosted an extravagant Halloween Trunk-or- Treat event for the children of South Cobb on Halloween night. What an event! Due to the increment weather the event was moved inside the EpiCenter. There were at least 5000 children and parents in attendance, so many that the building had to be closed off for occupancy overflow for a while. But guess what, they never RAN OUT OF CANDY!

This was a great community event allowing children to have a fun and safe environment with lots of treats, fun & games. The success of this event is a result of great leadership and excellent participation from our community under the direct supervision of the Word of Faith Church family. Pastor Christopher Boyd is truly a hero and deserves to be honored for his diligence in making this event a hugh success. Please be sure and thank him when you see him!

As we begin this journey to show the positive elements of South Cobb, elected leaders, church leaders, and community advocates are pulling together to change the negative narrative that has been wrongly placed upon us by individuals with no vested interest in our community. I'm looking forward to everyone joining this effort as we move on to our next chapter.

Special thanks to Cobb County Commission Chairman Mike Boyce and his wife Judy, Terry Cummings, Candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives (District 39) and Shelia Edwards, Candidate for Cobb County Commission (District 4), who showed up and represented our South Cobb community exemplifying true community leadership by engaging with each child they came into contact with play by play. Boy, did we enjoy ourselves, making us feel like kids again!

The event was a memorable one and already parents and their children are planning for next year!
