The first certified PEACH (Preserving Environment and Community Heritage) Roads project signage will be unveiled at an event celebrating Earth Day on April 21. Cobb Department of Transportation staff are implementing the department's first environmental sustainability certification program, which strives to minimize negative impacts to the environment and incorporate sustainable principles and innovations, including solar power and adaptive signal timing.
Keep Cobb Beautiful and Cobb Water System staff will also be on hand to provide additional information on the Cobb's continued environmental efforts.
