No class January 17 and February 21.
As a beginner, you will be alternating between throwing on the wheel and hand-building. This class is designed to expand your level of creativity and go beyond the ordinary. Demonstrations will include forms in pinch, coil, slab, wheel, surface decoration, carving, and sculptural additions. Focus on skills & the art of being expressive. You will experience a unique side of clay, with combining pieces and using many textures. (Students with intermediate experience will work on more advanced projects if desired and learn how to control large amounts of clay on the pottery wheel.)
Bring a towel and some enthusiasm! Students must bring a basic tool kit. Supply list is on the website.
