Global Day of Giving

Cobb County Senior Citizens Need Our Help During This Difficult Time

Today, May 5th, the Senior Citizen Council of Cobb County is participating in a global day of giving called Giving Tuesday. This is a special “Giving Tuesday” for Cobb Seniors in response to the unprecedented needs caused by Covid-19. All funds received will be used to respond to the unique needs of Cobb Seniors. The Senior Citizen Council is extending this giving effort through the entire month of May.

Contributions to the Senior Citizen Council of Cobb County will address the following pandemic related issues:

· The Senior Citizen Board of Directors want to be better positioned to expand our advocacy activities aimed at promoting the common good and general welfare of adults over age 55 living in Cobb County during this unusual time.

· Contributions will provide funding for a Job Fair to help individuals, with a focus on the senior population, who are unemployed or underemployed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

· The Senior Citizen Council has developed a brief survey for the Cobb senior community. The results will serve as a guide for our advocacy efforts aimed at helping seniors who have been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
